Mary Ann (Bartley) Yapello

Mary Ann Yapello, 79, of Cape Coral, Florida died Friday, Mary 1, 2015 surrounded by her husband and her children.

She was born December 19, 1935 in Erie, PA, daughter of the late Mary and Nick Bartolomeo from Petrella Tifernina in the province of Campobasso and the region of Molise.

Mary Ann was a graduate of Villa Maria Academy Class of 1954. She later retired from Loblaws where she worked for many years as a Head Cashier. After moving to Florida she continued working as a Customer Service Representative at SouthTrust Bank.

She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Church in Cape Coral, Florida.

She enjoyed cooking (was a great cook), traveling to Italy to her father's home town and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Eleanor (Dolly) Bartley and brothers, Eugene and John Bartley.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Rocco Anthony Yapello, daughters, Anne Marie Davis (Jeff) and Antonette LaValley (Steve); sons, Joseph Yapello (Bonnie) and John Yapello and nine grandchildren; Christopher, Stephany, Michael, Rocco, Cosimo, Karleen, Mara, Angelina and Marisa. Sister-in-laws, Eleanor Agnello and Antonina Siggia (Charles) and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, Erie, PA 16502 at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Mary Ann's name to Saint Paul RC Church.
