Mary Ann Felice Pitto
Mary Ann Felice Pitto, age 91, of Erie, died Friday, May 30, 2008 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born November 13, 1916 in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of the late Phillip and Francis Caruso Felice. She had worked at Fischer Body as a "Rosie the Riveter", at Marx Toys and also at Helen's Bridal where she made wedding gowns. She was a devoted Christian and member of the First Assembly of God Church. She was a superb cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rocco Pitto; five brothers, Sam, Gus, Phil, John and Joe Felice and two sisters Vince Felice and Francis Oddo. She is survived by one daughter, Darlene Wesley and her husband Joseph of Erie; two sons, Richard "Dick" R. Pitto and his wife Dolly of Berea, OH and David R. Pitto Sr. and his fiancée Cheryl Johnston of Erie; one sister Josephine Clayton of Clearwater, FL and six grandchildren, Rick Pitto, Beth Waren, Dave Pitto, Michelle Pitto, Ron Smialek and Shawn Smialek. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Monday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there on Tuesday at 12:30 pm with Pastor Don L. Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Great Lakes Hospice, 1700 Peach St. STE 244, Erie, PA 16501.
