Mary Lou Coy

Mary Lou Coy, 61, of Erie, died peacefully, Monday, May 3, 2010 surrounded by her family at Saint Vincent Health Center.

She was born May 19, 1948 in Erie, a daughter of the late Frank J. and Concetta Bongiovanni Coy. She was a life-long resident of Erie, working in the plastic shops for many years; first at Byrd Plastics, then Perry Plastics, and later on for Owens-Illinois. She was also a caregiver, devoting many years to her mother through many illnesses, and helping to raise her two nieces.

She will be greatly missed by her sister, Carol Horton of Erie and two nieces, Karen Horton of Erie and Carla Shakley and her husband Erin of Fredericksburg, VA and numerous cousins.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Thursday from 2 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm and may attend a Funeral Mass on Friday at Saint Jude the Apostle Church, 2801 West 6th Street, at 10 am. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
