Mary Rogalska Miczo

Mary Rogalska Miczo, 96, died Monday, March 29, 2010 at Manchester Presbyterian Lodge. She was born August 19, 1913 in North Eastern Poland, daughter of the late Aleksander and Waleria Zaleska Rogalska.

She was employed at the Erie Restaurant on State Street for many years after coming to this country when she was 25 years old. She had lived in Erie for the past 71 years. She was also a member of St. Julia's Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Miczo, two brothers and one sister.

She is survived by one sister, Tedzia Swirbutowicz of Poland; four sister-in-laws, Margaret Allard, Helen Miczo both of Erie and Martha Leon and Pauline Wilson both of CA; three step-children, Donna Hawes of OR, Patricia Anderson of Erie and Mike Miczo Sr. and wife Carol of Cranesville, PA and four grandchildren, John and Todd Hawes of OR and Michele Kimmy and Michael Miczo Jr. of Albion, PA. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Thursday morning from 9am until the time of service there at 11:30 am. Burial will be private at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Manchester Presbyterian Lodge, 6351 West Lake Road, Erie, PA 16505.
