Mary Viglione Klemen
Mary Viglione Klemen, age 90, of Erie, died Friday, March 23, 2012 at Millcreek Community Hospital.
She was born October 15, 1921 in Campobasso, Italy, a daughter of the late Michael and Carmela Stelluto Viglione. She had worked at Bliley Electric.
She was an active parishioner of Sacred Heart RC Church and member of their Altar Society. She enjoyed knitting, reading, cooking, gardening and socializing with family and friends. She was an avid card player.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Casimir J. Klemen and three brothers, Luca, Leo and Fred Viglione.
She is survived by one daughter, Kathleen Mazza and husband Robert of North East; one son, Michael Klemen and wife Patricia of Richmond, VA; two sisters, Cora Notarione and Dolly Brunk and husband James both of Erie; one brother, Sam Viglione of CA and five grandchildren, Mario Mazza and wife Mel, Vanessa Mazza, Eric Klemen, Tim Klemen and wife Robina and Beth Klemen. She is also survived by special nephew, Robert Brunk and special niece, Debbie Leone and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Mass on Monday at Sacred Heart RC Church, 816 West 26th Street, at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Emmaus Ministries, 345 East Ninth Street, Erie, PA, 16503.
