Maude Orr Perry
Maude Orr Perry, age 95, of Haydenville, Massachusetts, formerly of Erie, died Saturday, April 12, 2008 in Leeds, Massachusetts. She was born June 10, 1912 in Youngstown, Ohio a daughter of the late James and Ruth Langley Millsop.
She was a graduate of South High School in Youngstown, OH. She was the co-founder of the Dipwell Company in Northampton, MA. She was a member of the Glenwood United Methodist Church and sang in their choir for 61 years. She was the church secretary for 60 years, a member of the homemaker's class and a member of their bowling league. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Thomas Perry Sr. in 1985. She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Perry Alstadt of Haydenville, MA; one son, Fred Thomas Perry Jr. and his wife, Sachiko Ogawa Perry of Hayama, Japan; one sister, Ilma May Davis of Boulder, CO and four grandchildren, Karen Lynn Alstadt and her husband Brian of Haydenville, MA, Maya Perry Bertosa and her husband Milan of Honolulu, HI, Mia Lynn Perry of Hayama, Japan and James T. Perry of Hayama, Japan. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Amartya Alstadt of Haydenville, MA, Angelina Gabriella Perry, Jonas Rey Perry and Wilhelm Noto Perry.
Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Friday from 3 to 6 pm. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Saturday at 2 pm. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Glenwood United Methodist Church, 2931Myrtle Street, Erie, PA 16506
