May Collins Scutella

May Collins Scutella, age 72, 7310 Crestview Drive, died Saturday, June 30, 2007, at Hamot Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born April 13, 1935 in Jackson, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Edward and Sarah Howard Scutella. She had lived in Erie most of her life. She enjoyed playing cards, movies, gardening and crafts.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank M. Scutella; one daughter, Deborah Scutella, and two sisters, Beatrice Gianicola and Mary Lou Angelotti.

She is survived by one daughter, Theresa Litz, of Erie; three sons, Gary Scutella and his wife, Darleen, Frank Scutella and his wife, Mary, and James Scutella and his wife, Kathy, all of Erie; three brothers, Robert Collins, Conneautville, PA, Willard, Donald and David Collins, all of Erie; and three sisters, Faye Negron, Patty Collins, and Joyce Fisher, all of Erie. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, and Independent Care Group Affiliate, Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Harry H. Johns III officiating. Interment in Erie County Memorial Gardens.
