Michael F. Pamula, 76, of Erie, Pennsylvania passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023 at Fairview Manor surrounded by his family. He was born July 4, 1947 in Erie, a son of the late Michael A. and Agnes (Sabella) Pamula.

Michael served in the United States Army in Okinawa during the Vietnam War, where he lived along with his wife Kay and daughter Christine.

Michael was one of Erie's most talented, dependable and trusted auto body mechanics. He learned his trade at Lucky's garage and began his career at Plumpton Buick. He then continued on to work for many years at Hallman Chevrolet. Throughout his career he formed many lifelong friendships, most notably, Dave Lesonik, John Wurst, Rick Bafik, Dave Van Damia and Doug Karise.

Michael moved on and decided to go into business and work for himself. He owned and operated Bay Shore Collison and Pamula Autobody. Michael was the person to go to if you needed a clean, dependable and safe used car.

Mike Pamula touched many lives and everyone knew if you needed help fixing anything, he was always available to help.

Michael then joined his wife Kay in retirement and cherished their time with their grandchildren. They enjoyed making memories to last them all a lifetime.

Kay and Mike were married for 53 years and took pride in raising their 3 children and grandchildren. They were proud of the family they made together and took every opportunity to brag about their accomplishments.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kay F. (Nalepa) Pamula; his brother, David Pamula; and fur grandbabies, Daisy and Ollie.

He is survived by his three daughters, Chris F. Holmstrom (Eric), Lisa (Pamula) Andrzejewski (Michael Gordish), and Jill Eichner; five grandchildren, Alex Holmstrom (Bailey Battko), Lucas Eichner, Andy Holmstrom (Jake Tufts), McCall Eichner, and Shelby Eichner; sister in-law Judy Simora; a brother, Robert Pamula (Judy); and sisters, Judy Minnich (Richard) and Maryann Distelrath (David). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Friday at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service there at 7:00 p.m. Causal dress is encouraged.
