Michael J. Renzi
Michael J. Renzi, 66, of Erie, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024 at UPMC Hamot. He was born December 25, 1957 in Erie, a son of the late Albert and MaryLou (Mezzacapo) Renzi.
Michael served in the United States Army. He was a legend in plastering and also worked for the Department of Corrections as a Mason Trade Instructor.
Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, and Westerns. He was an avid Steeler's Fan and always drove a Ford Truck.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Natalia LaPenna; his brother, Tom Renzi, Sr.; his nephew, Dominic Renzi; and his great nephew, Anthony Renzi .
He is survived by his son, Michael J. Renzi, Jr.; a daughter, Caitlyn Renzi; one sister, Darcie Bailey (John); two brothers, Albert Renzi, Jr. (Nancy) and Mark Renzi; and a grandson, Kaiden. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and one great great-nephew.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service there at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
