Michael James Byerly

Michael James Byerly, 58, of Erie, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born August 11, 1958 in Erie, a son of Jean Connell Byerly of Erie and the late James H. Byerly.

He had worked at Erie Malleable Iron for 25 years and was a member of United Steel Workers Local 2581. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, building model trains and football.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Brenda Roach and Tina Seaman.

He is survived by his companion of 26 years, Tina Colonna Riddle; one son, James M. Byerly; one daughter, Daina Burr; two brothers, Tom Byerly (Kim), and Scott Byerly; one sister, Patty Seidel (Richard) all of Erie; four grandchildren, Hannah, Kaitlynn, Kristina and Dominick. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

No calling hours will be observed. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
