Michael Roy Genis

Michael Roy Genis, 66, of Erie died Thursday, August 20, 2015 at his residence. He was born September 14, 1948 in Meadville, PA, a son of the late Roy and Rosalie Picarello Genis. He lived in Erie most of his life.

He is survived by four sons, Chris J. Michael Genis of Erie, Jeremy R. Genis (Sarah) of Chicago, IL, Joshua T. Genis of Erie, and Chad L. Martini (Monica) of Fairview, PA; two brothers, Tony J. Genis (Peggy) and James A. Genis (Dorene) of Erie, and four grandchildren, Vrinda, Lalita, Zoe, and Zac. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He retired from GE after 36 years.

Michael was an Erie Otter's season ticket holder. He enjoyed playing golf and chess, watching the Cleveland Browns, and spending time with family. He was a member of South Erie Turners and Knights of St. John. Michael could do anything he put his mind to.

No calling hours will be observed. Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
