Mildred E. Carroll Champion

Mildred E. Carroll Champion, 78, of Erie, passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 at Saint Vincent Health Center. She was born January 29, 1938 in Fernandina, FL, a daughter of the late Samuel Carroll Sr. and Beatrice McCray Carroll Manus.

She had worked for the GECAC Headstart Program for over 20 years.

She is survived by three daughters, Martine Champion, Stacie Champion, and Rhonda Ramirez (Carlos); son, Herbert Champion; two brothers, Samuel Carroll, Jr. and Isaac D. Carroll all of Erie; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street on Saturday, January 7th, from 9 a.m. until the time of the Prayer Service there at 11 a.m.

Private burial will be in Erie Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
