Nicholas A. Barlow

Nicholas A."Nick" Barlow, age 23, of Erie, died Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family after a hard fought battle with cancer. He was born December 15, 1989 in Erie, a son of Harold B. "Hal" Barlow and the late Barbara A. Dodick Barlow.

Nick was a 2008 graduate of Cathedral Preparatory School, went to Gannon University, and was currently attending LECOM School of Pharmacy.

Nick was active at Saint Peter Cathedral and was a member of the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity at Gannon University.

He played football in grade school and high school and later coached children's football. He was an avid Buffalo Bills and Sabers fan.

In addition of his father, he is survived by his fiancée, Amy Duchnowski of Erie; his sister, Erica L. Barlow of Erie and paternal grandparents, Roger Barlow and wife Jill of Lake City and Joyce Schaffer of AL. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday at Saint Peter Cathedral, 230 West 10th Street, at Noon. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
