Nicholas A. Lopez
Nicholas A. Lopez, of Erie, age 56, of Erie, died Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at UPMC Hamot after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born March 3, 1955 in Erie, to Petrina V. Bianchi Lopez and the late Adolph Lopez.
Nick was well known in the car industry, having been a salesman, manager, and buyer for many years. He was well liked and respected by all who knew him. His unique sense of humor will be sadly missed by both family and friends.
He is survived by three sons, Allan Lopez (New York), Michael Lopez and his wife Tawnya (Boston), Captain Nicholas Lopez and his wife Clarice, stationed in the United States Army in Italy; one sister, Frances M. Pustelak (Lopez) and her husband, Larry; special cousin and close friend, Carol Bianchi and her husband, Kevin. Also surviving are many cousins, nieces, nephews, and aunts, and his former wife, Kathy McCormick.
Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. are invited to attend a service there on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1626 West Street, at 11:00 a.m. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2115 West 38th Street, Erie, PA 16508.
