Nila Tempestini Petri

Nila Tempestini Petri, age 88, of Erie, died Monday, August 19, 2013 at the Sarah A. Reed Retirement Center. She was born September 20, 1924 in Erie, a daughter of the late Guido and Corinna Pardini Tempestini.

Nila was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School. She worked in the jewelry department at the Boston Store for 40 years, retiring in 1989.

She enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Tullio A. Petri.

She is survived by her brother, Dan Tempestini and wife Mary Ann of Erie, two nieces, and many dear cousins and friends.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there on Friday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery.
