Nina B. Cacchione Scalzitti

Nina B. Cacchione Scalzitti, age 81, of Fairview died Sunday, January 6, 2008 at Hamot Medical Center following an extended illness.

She was born February 4, 1926 in Erie, a daughter of the late Amelio and Ida Lombardozzi Cacchione. She lived in Erie her entire life.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony P. Scalzitti; two brothers, Dominic and Norman Cacchione and two sisters, Nora Cacchione and Gloria Potter. She is survived by two daughters, Lori Bly of Erie and Darlene Scalzitti of Fairview; one son, Anthony J. Scalzitti and his wife Beth of Atlanta, GA; five grandchildren Aaron Bly, James, Sophia, Isabella and Anthony D. Scalzitti and a long time friend, Nellie Swiderski. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Tuesday from 6 to 9 pm. and may attend a Funeral Mass at Holy Cross RC Church, 7100 West Ridge Rd., on Wednesday at 10 am. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
