Olympia J. Corsi Cargioli
Olympia J. Corsi Cargioli, age 92, formerly of Benetwood Apartments, died Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Ball Pavilion at Brevelier Village.
She was born July 1, 1918 in Erie, a daughter of the late Lidano and Flavia D'Amico Corsi. She lived in Erie all her life. She had worked at Marx Toys and as a beautician at Laura's Beauty Shop. She was a member of Saint Paul's Senior Citizens and of Five Decades at Our Lady of Mercy in Harborcreek. She worked as a senior aide at GECAC. She enjoyed her family, cooking, crocheting and playing cards.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. Cargioli; two brothers, Anthony and Leonard Corsi and three sisters, Philomena DeFazio, Loretta Corsi and Olga Corsi.
She is survived by one daughter, Loretta J. Patton and husband Tim of Erie; two sons, Frank J. Cargioli and wife Joanne of Erie and Ronald P. Cargioli and wife Annette of Noblesville, IN. She is further survived by 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm and may attend a Funeral Service there on Saturday at 9:00 am. followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, at 9:30 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
