Penny Anne Koziarski Copple Laskowski

Penny Anne Koziarski Copple Laskowski, age 56, of Erie, died Monday, June 25, 2012 at UPMC Hamot following an extended illness. She was born April 7, 1956 in Erie, the daughter of Lily Mae Shallenberger Koziarski Mickel, of Erie and the late Robert Koziarski.

She was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School. Penny had an entrepreneurial spirit, starting many home-based businesses from her enjoyment of crafts and gardening. Her passion for living life to the fullest will be greatly missed. Penny was employed at Dolly Madison Bakery and Robertson Kitchens in Erie.

She was preceded in death by her step-father, Robert Mickel. Besides her mother she is survived by three children; Bert Copple and his wife Stephanie, Troy, MI, Julia Laskowski Benedict and her husband Michael and Diana Laskowski Matta and her husband Randy; two sisters, Linda Perry and Lisa Szymecki, and one brother, Michael Mickel and his wife Keri, all of Erie. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Noah and Brady Copple, Luke Benedict and Olivia Matta and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, 2122 Raspberry Street, on Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a service at the funeral home on Friday at 10:00 a.m.
