Perena E. Zonna Griffin

Perena "Perry" E. Zonna Griffin, 86, resident of Saint Mary's Home of Erie passed away Friday, November 12, 2010 there.

She was born February 11, 1924 in Erie, a daughter of the late Potito and Angelarosa DiFiori Zonna. She lived in Erie her entire life. Perena was a loving wife, daughter, sister and aunt who was dedicated to her family and church. She was a very active life member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. She had been employed by Erie Dispatch Newspaper and retired from Lord Manufacturing Co., where she was active in the Quarter Century Club and was an union stewart before moving on to management.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lorne H. Griffin who passed away in October of 1993; two brothers, Alfred Zonna and Donald Zonna; two sisters, Rose Delio and Martha Hawley Carlson and three nephews, Peter Delio, Terry Delio and Darrell Zonna.

She is survived by one sister, Sally Ann Miller and her husband Edward of Ellicott City, Maryland and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry St., Erie, PA 16502, on Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm and are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Tuesday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 643 West 17th Street, at 10am. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
