Raymond M. Sloan

Raymond M. Sloan, age 83, of Erie, died Monday May 23, 2011 at Saint Vincent Health Center after an extended illness.

He was born September 28, 1928 in Corry, PA, a son of the late George S. and Clarice Hassett Sloan. He had worked at Erie Center for the Blind. He enjoyed music and was a devoted husband.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice A. Briguglio Sloan.

He is survived by one brother, George B. "Skip" Sloan of Corry, PA and four nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of service there at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Erie Cemetery.
