Ricardo Rodriguez-Aviles

Ricardo Rodriguez-Aviles, age 43, of Erie, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, December 11, 2021 at his residence. He was born July 11, 1978 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, a son of Rosa Aviles and the late Secundino Rodriguez.

Ricardo graduated from high school in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico. He moved to Erie shortly after graduation and worked for Fairview Evergreen Nursery.

He enjoyed fishing, driving his car, jamming to Bachata, and watching lots of movies. He had a positive attitude and contagious smile that would light up a room. Ricardo loved spending time with his family and will be deeply missed.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Javier Rodriguez.

Ricardo is survived by his mother, Rosa Aviles; his brother, Jose Rivera (Daisy); four nephews, Alex, Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos; and six nieces, Jocelyn, Yesenia, Josielynn, Alexis, Alicia, and Aryanna. He is also survived by many great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service there at 8:00 p.m. Burial will be private in Lakeside Cemetery. Memorials may be made the in the family in care of the funeral Home.
