Rita Strellow Casane Fitzgerald

Rita Strellow Casane Fitzgerald, 89, resident of St. Francis Apartments in McKean, formerly of Highpoint Towers, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013 at her residence. She was born April 12, 1923 in Erie a daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth Bryant Strellow.

Rita was a graduate of East High School and belonged to the Seinbenbuerger Club Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death her first husband, Patsy E. Casane, Sr.; second husband, Joseph Fitzgerald; sister, Irene Hooper and brothers, Jack and Bill Strelecki, Herbie, Eddie and Kenneth (Pete) Strellow.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Pat Casane, Jr. and wife Bonnie, Dodi Oblinski and husband Tony, Rick Casane and wife Kim, and Chris Steimer and husband George and eleven grandchildren, Mary Casane, Kim Bowers, Pasquale and Doug Casane, George Steimer, Cori Steimer-Senchuk, Erin Casane, Emily Williams, Jarryd Steimer, Maura Casane and AJ Oblinski. She is further survived by thirteen great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Audrey Casane and Rose Strellow and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the gathering space at St. Francis Xavier Church, 8880 W. Main St., McKean, on Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Mass thereon Wednesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
