Robert Francis DiPanfilo

Robert F. DiPanfilo of Martinsburg, WV, died Monday, January 5, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 19, 1935 in Erie, a son of the late Pasquale and Vallie Amatangelo DiPanfilo

Bob graduated from Cathedral Preparatory School, Class of 1954. He attended Saint Mark's Seminary and continued studies at Saint Bonaventure University. He was ordained in 1961. After leaving this vocation he pursued a new career in the Insurance Business in the Washington D.C. area. It was there that he met and married Katherine "Kitty" Cummings. Bob retired in 2000 and enjoyed spending his winters in Vero Beach, Florida.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary DiPanfilo and Catherine Phelps.

He is survived by his wife, Kitty; two brothers, Michael (Laura) DiPanfilo and Henry (Carol) DiPanfilo, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many lifelong friends.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc. 2122 Raspberry Street, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday at Saint Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, at 10 a.m.
