Robert J. Fabrizio
Robert Jack Fabrizio, 87, a long time Erie and Valrico, FL resident passed away peacefully April 25th, 2013 following a brief illness. He was the son of the late Philomena (Presogna) and Clement Fabrizio and the loving husband of his late wife of over 50 years, Mary C. Fabrizio (Palermo).
Robert served overseas during WWII as an MP before returning to Erie and working at the Ervite Corporation as a draftsman and later in plant management. In addition, both he and his wife were co-owners of the Dog House restaurant. He was long time member of the La Nuova Aurora Society and Siebenbuerger club and also enjoyed playing golf and fishing. Robert was a loving and devoted husband, father and brother.
He is survived by his two brothers Thomas (Erie) and Anthony Fabrizio (Bradenton, FL); his two children, Dorine Benjamin of Somerset, KY and Robert A. Fabrizio (Lorie) of Erie. He also has four grandchildren; Brian Benjamin, Lisa Graham, Natalie & Julia Fabrizio, two great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, 2122 Raspberry Street, on Sunday, April 28th, 2-5pm and 7-9pm and are invited to attend a service there on Monday, April 29th at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, 1617 Walnut Street at 10 am. Interment will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the John Kanzius Cancer Foundation, 130 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16501.
