Robert W. Jepson

Robert W. "Bob" Jepson, 82, of Erie, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the LECOM Senior Living Center following an extended illness. He was born in Erie on October 29, 1933, a son of the late Clifford and Frances Rafferty Jepson.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He had worked at Lyons Transportation for 25 years. Bob enjoyed reading, music, politics and life long learning.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jacqueline R. Schumacher; four brothers, James, George, Edward and Paul Jepson and four sisters, Mary Gloystein, Katherine Julius, Elizabeth Julius and Margaret Ring.

He is survived by his wife Mary M. "Polly" Vardell Jepson of Erie; one son, Sean R. Jepson of Erie; one daughter, Cynthia G. Kocher of Erie; and one brother, Richard Jepson (Judy) of Erie. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson, and many nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street is handling the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Anna Shelter, 1555 East Tenth Street, Erie, PA 16511.
