Robert W. Phillips

Robert W. Phillips, age 53, of Millcreek, died Friday, May 15, 2009 after an extended illness. Robert was born May 17, 1955 in Erie, a son of Stella Rogofsky Phillips of Erie and the late Raymond Phillips. He worked at GE and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his sister, Katherine Phillips and a nephew, Thomas Phillips.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanine Kremin Phillips of Millcreek; two sons, Jonathan and Ryan Phillips both of Millcreek; two step-sons, Justin and Chad VanKoot both of Millcreek; two brothers, David Meloni and his wife Gail of Tustin, CA and Daniel Phillips and his wife Denise of Panama City, FL; two sisters, Elizabeth Baughman and her husband David of Waterford, PA and Mary Hecht and her husband Michael of Irwin, PA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm and may attend a service there on Monday at 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1626 West 26th Street, at 10 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the John Kanzius Cancer Research Fund, Palace business Center 915 State St., Erie, PA16501.
