Ronald Harold Rieger Sr

Ronald Harold Rieger, Sr., 87, of Erie, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Millcreek Community Hospital. He was born March 15, 1936 in Erie, a son of the late Harold H. and Angela (Mancuso) Rieger.

Ronald served in the United States Marines. He worked at Lord Corporation for many years, until his retirement in 2000.

Ronald enjoyed bowling, boating, fishing and tinkering with his cars. He was an avid collector of "many" things.

Ronald adored his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers Paul and Wallace Rieger.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Dolores (Praege) Rieger; two daughters, Pamula Starocci (Mark) and Grace Hershelman (Wayne); three sons, Ronald Rieger, Jr. (Sandy), David Rieger, Sr. (Brenda), and Mark Rieger, Sr. (Donna); twelve grandchildren, Melissa Hain (Jason), Larry Spencer, Jr. (Kayla), Ryan Spencer (Stephanie), Nancy Kardos, Lindsay Bly (Scot), David Rieger, Jr., Michael Rieger, Morgan Rieger, Mark Rieger, Jr., Kristie Barthelson (Dan), Theresa Lazenby (Matt), and Wayne Hershelman, Jr. (Kristie).

He is also survived by three brothers, two sisters, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
