Rosa Aviles

Rosa Esther Aviles, 81, of Erie, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 29, 1943 in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, a daughter of the late Jose and Carmen (Martinez) Aviles.

Rosa graced her family and friends with her radiant smile, warm spirit, and unwavering love for everyone throughout her life. She was a beautiful woman, whose kindness knew no bounds.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Secundino Rodriguez and her two sons, Javier Rodriguez and Ricardo Rodriguez-Aviles.

She is survived by her son, Jose Rivera (Daisy); daughter-in-law, Martha Lara; and ten grandchildren, Jose, Alex, Jocelyn (David), Yesenia (Miguel), Carlos (Rhianon), Emmanuel (Yesenia), Josielynn, Alicia, Aryanna, and Alexus. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, 2122 Raspberry Street, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Service there on Thursday at 10:00 a.m., officiated by Chaplin Dennis Perez followed by burial at Lakeside Cemetery.

Rosa will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
