Rose M. DiCara Natalie, 95, of Erie, died Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Golden Living-Walnut Creek Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness.

She was born October 19, 1922 in Erie a daughter of the late Luciano and Josephine Ruggerio DiCara.

Rose was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School. She loved to travel with her sister Angeline and took many trips all over the country. She was an avid reader, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, and loved to cook. Her greatest love were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant twin sister Angeline DiCara; two brothers, James and Albert DiCara, and five sisters, Josephine Pedano, Lena Sciolino, Mary Rizzo, Jennie Giannelli, and Angeline DiCara.

She is survived by two daughters, Julee A. Nicolia (Sam) and Patricia J. Marini (Alex); and one son, Louis J. Natalie (Marcia), all of Erie. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Paul Marini, Emily Tatsch (Robert), Mark Marini (Tiffany), John Marini, Jeffrey Nicolia (Julie), Amy Natalie, Christine Lovesky (Matt), and Lauren Natalie, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Golden Living and AsceraCare Hospice Erie for their loving care.

Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Bread of Life RC Church, 147 West 24th Street, at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to AsceraCare Hospice Erie, 1600 Peninsula Drive, Suite 14, Erie, PA 16505.
