Rose N. Scalzitti Lord

Rose N. Scalzitti Lord, age 87, of 1456 Pearce Park, died Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Hamot Medical Center after a brief illness.

She was born March 25, 1921 in Erie, a daughter of the late Leonard and Josephine Colonna Scalzitti. She lived in Erie her entire life. She enjoyed bingo, dancing and playing cards.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank L. Lord Jr. and two sisters, Algisa O'Brian and Mary DeBello.

She is survived by two sons, David K. Lord and Dean D. Lord and his wife Gail both of Erie; two sisters, Vera DeBello and her husband Nick and Diane Lang both of Florida and her loving companion, Ivan Glassman of Erie. She is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a dear friend, Clara Ward.

Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Tuesday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Mass on Wednesday at Saint Ann RC Church, 921 East Avenue. at 10 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
