Sam J. Andalora
Sam J. Andalora, age 88, formerly of 1010 West 31st Street, died Sunday, May 4, 2008 at Twinbrook Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born February 8, 1920 in Braburn, New York, a son of the late Joseph and Mary Bardo Andalora. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He had worked at General Electric. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, music and dancing.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and Joseph Andalora and one sister, Sarah Destro. He is survived by his wife, Mary T. Patsy Andalora; two daughters, Adelina Thompson of Erie and Mary Jo Netherland and her husband Jeff of Lorain, OH; two grandchildren, Joseph Karpinski and his wife Missy of Pittsburgh and Tessa Netherland of Avon, OH and two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Zoey Karpinski of Pittsburgh. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Thursday at Sacred Heart RC Church, 816 West 26th Street, at 9:30 am. Entombment will be private at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum . Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2115 West 38th Street, Erie, PA 16508.
