Scott E. Maurer
Scott E. Maurer, age 46, of Erie, died unexpectedly Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at his residence. He was born April 12, 1967 in Erie, a son of B. Lucille Rosenberger Maurer and the late Droze Maurer.
He was active in Boy Scouts and graduated from McDowell High School. He served in the United States Marines for 10 years.
Scott had owned and operated Scotters Sports Store and worked at Rack & Roll.
He enjoyed working on his dragon slayer truck and helping his friends. He quote was "It's time to go nobody is special".
In addition to his mother he is survived by two sons, Mark and Anthony Maurer; one step-son, Donald Maurer; two grandchildren, Mollie and Vi Maurer all of CA and one brother, James I. Maurer of Erie.
Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Saturday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. and are invited to join with the family to celebrate Scott's life on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Rack & Roll, 2040 West 38th Street. Burial will be private in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
