Sonja M. Burnett Mysnyk

Sonja M. Burnett Mysnyk, age 72, of Erie, died Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Saint Vincent Health Center after an extended illness. She was born December 18, 1940 in Erie, a daughter of the late Perry and Buella Burnett. She lived in Erie her entire life.

Sonja had worked as a nurses aid. She enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, swimming and cooking.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Mysnyk; two sons, James E. Mysnyk, Jr. and Joseph A. Mysnyk; one brother, Bobby Burnett and one sister, Sandra Lee Mysnyk.

She is survived by one daughter, Angel M. Haggerty; four sons, Jeffery D. Mysnyk and wife Patricia, John P. Mysnyk, Jamie L. Mysnyk and Jason P. Mysnyk; three brothers, Buddy Burnett, Larry Burnett and Eddie Burnett all of Erie and one sister, Becky Grace and husband Frank of Fairview, PA. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Tuesday evening from 6 until the time of the Funeral Service there at 8:30 p.m. Burial will be private in Erie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
