Stephen Jakubcsik

Stephen Jakubcsik, 79, of Erie, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Saint Vincent Hospital. He was born January 15, 1939 in Erie, a son of the late Anthony and Anna Sivak Jakubcsik.

Steve was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School, class of 1957 and of Gannon University where he received a degree in business.

He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. He was an active member of the American Legion Carl Neff Post #571.

Steve worked for the United States Postal Service for over 50 years, retiring at age 70.

He was a sports enthusiast and followed all local high school, college, and semi-professional teams.

Steve was a loving son, brother, and uncle.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Anthony Jakubcsik.

He is survived by his three sisters, Ann DiVecchio (Ronald), Mary Presogna, Elsa Leone (Kevin Burnes) all of Erie; many nieces; and one nephew. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. may attend a Funeral Mass on Monday at Saint Paul Church, 1617 Walnut Street, at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will be private at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
