Terry Lee Delio

Terry Lee Delio, 61, of Erie died Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at his home after an extended illness.

A lifelong resident of Erie he was born December 11, 1947, a son of the late Michael F. and Rosemarie Zonna Delio.

He served in the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was a graduate of Academy High School. He worked for the City of Erie Streets Department of 36 years, retiring as an Assistant Bureau Chief. He was an avid softball and baseball player.

He is survived by his two sons, Bryan Delio and Corey Delio both of Erie; three grandchildren, Corey Lee Delio Jr., Orion Smith and Rosealena Thompson Carroll; four nephews, David Delio, John, Peter and Matthew Leggiero and one niece, Susan Delio

No calling hours will be observed. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 643 West 17th Street, on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 11 am. Memorials may be made to the John Kanzius Cancer Research Fund, 915 State St., Erie, PA 16501. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, is handling arrangements. .
