Theresa L. Minnis VanDyke

Theresa L. Minnis VanDyke, 75, of Erie, passed away Sunday January 23, 2022 at Saint Vincent Health Center. She was born June 20, 1946 in Meadville, a daughter of the late Clair L. and Elsie Basile Minnis.

Theresa was an avid card player. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, and family gatherings.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee. VanDyke, Sr.; a son, Robert Lee VanDyke, Jr.; one sister, Mary Jo Minnis; one brother, Sam Catania; and four grandchildren, Victoria, Danielle, Felicia, and Robert.

She is survived by her two daughters, Patty Klingensmith (Mark) and Theresa L. VanDyke, Jr.; two sons, Clair Robert VanDyke and James L. VanDyke (Sara); one step-son, Robert Brooks (Vicky); one sister, Frieda Wheeler; and one brother, Clair R. Minnis; She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service there at 1:00 p.m. Entombment will be private at Erie County Memorial Gardens.
