Thomas P. Cacchione, Sr., age 92, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Saint Vincent Hospital. He was born on December 30, 1931 in Erie, a son of the late Thomas N. and Rachel (Phillips) Cacchione.
Tom was employed by Fenestra Corporation for 40 years, where he served as Union President for 20 years, retiring in 1993. He was a great supporter of local High School Sports, especially the teams that his sons coached. Tom was a dedicated volunteer at Blessed Sacrament Church throughout his life. For over 30 years, he took great pleasure in calling the numbers at the church's Bingo night.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Geraldine A. Cacchione; his brother, Phillip Cacchione and his wife Betty; his sisters, Menga Novello and her husband John, and Mavis Cacchione; and his brother-in-law, Art Chimenti.
Tom is survived by his four sons, Thomas P. Cacchione, Jr. (Tammy), Timothy P. Cacchione (Barbara), Dr. Joseph G. Cacchione (Shannon), and Jon S. Cacchione (Shelly); his sister, Albia Chimenti; and his grandchildren, Tim Cacchione, Jr. (Katie), Angela Cacchione (Travis), Robert Cacchione (Kara), Michael Cacchione (Lucy), Jamie Cacchione (Pat Carne), Abigail Cacchione (Brett), Samuel Cacchione, Annie Cacchione, Madeline Cacchione, and Joseph Cacchione. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, 2122 Raspberry Street, and may attend a Funeral Service there on Monday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Dr. Gertrude A.
