Thomas P. DuCharme
Thomas P. DuCharme, 71, of Erie, passed away Monday, June 20, 2016 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born July 6, 1944 in Saginaw, MI, a son of the late Walter and Marion Law DuCharme.
Thomas was the owner and operator of four McDonald Restaurants since 1983. He was a founding member of The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Erie and served on their board.
He enjoyed boating, golfing and sports cars. Thomas was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Delton DuCharme.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Eleanor "Ellie" J. Smith DuCharme; two daughters, Debra A. Orlando (Robert) and Jennifer R. DuCharme (Christopher Wiley); a son, Thomas P. DuCharme, Jr. (Bridget) all of Erie; two brothers, Robert DuCharme (Marilyn) and Donald DuCharme (Kathy) both of MI; one sister, Kay Mueller (Mark) of IA; and seven grandchildren, Tyler, Jacob, Noah, Camryn, Jack, Luke, and Alex. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held there on Friday at 10 a.m. followed by burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
