Thomas R. Susi, age 68, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 3, 2024. He was born on August 20, 1956, in Erie, a son of the late Angelo and Florence (Barberio) Susi.
Tom was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School, Class of 1974. He continued his education at Ohio Institute of Technology where he earned an Associate Degree. He worked as an electrician at Hammermill Paper Company until his retirement in 2002. Following his retirement he worked part time in maintenance at Camp Fitch in North Springfield, PA. He enjoyed traveling, especially the cross-country road trips he took to visit his brothers. Tom loved spending time outdoors fishing and hiking. He was also passionate about Pigeon Racing, a sport he was involved with for over 50 years.
Tom is survived by two sons, Jason V. Susi, of Erie, and James A. Susi, of Chardon, OH; and two brothers, Dr. Jesse G. Susi (Janet), of St. Louis, MO, and Mark J. Susi, of Portland, OR. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, 2122 Raspberry Street, and may attend a Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 10 a.m at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, 1116 West 7th Street.
