Thomasina Mannarelli Chervenka
Thomasina "Tomi" Mannarelli Chervenka, 80, of Erie, passed away Friday March 5, 2021, at UPMC Hamot. She was born March 19, 1940, in Erie, a daughter of the late Frank Mannarelli and Ruth English McGahen.
Tomi loved traveling, especially to Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine in Euclid, OH. She also enjoyed dining out, dancing, and casinos. She was a fan of Elvis Presley, old westerns, and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Her favorite movie was Grease and favorite TV show Perry Mason. Tomi took delight in joining the fun at cookouts and family functions. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and formerly sang in the choir there. Tomi's pride and joy was her granddaughter Nicole.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Chervenka and several brothers and sisters.
Tomi is survived by her daughter, Ruthy Parr (Ron); her son, James Chervenka; and her granddaughter, Nicole Rea (Matthew). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, Erie, PA 16502 and are invited to attend a service there on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, 816 West 26th Street, at 10:00 a.m. All COVID-19 guidelines will be followed. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
