Ugo G. Fabrizio

Ugo G. Fabrizio, age 87, formerly of Melrose Avenue, died Thursday November 20, 2008 at Hamot Medical Center after a brief illness.

He was born March 3, 1921 in Erie, a son of the late Florindo and Rosalia DiFilippo Fabrizio. He lived in Erie all of his life. He served in the United States Army Infantry during World War II. He had worked at GE and enjoyed golfing.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Irene K. Krugger Fabrizio; two brothers, Nick and Rudy Fabrizio and three sisters, Ida "Honey" Arnold, Violet "Mimi "Caserta and Carmella Pallotta.

He is survived by his daughter, Debbie A. Fabrizio of Alexandria, VA; one brother, Robert M. Fabrizio and his wife Betty Jane of Erie and two sisters, Betty and Molly Fabrizio both of Erie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm and many attend a service there on Saturday at 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament RC Church, 1626 West 26th Street, at 10 am. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
