Victoria Alberico Daugherty

Victoria "Vickie" Alberico Daugherty, age 81, of Millcreek, died Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at Saint Mary's Home of Erie. She was born April 28, 1927 in Erie, a daughter of the late Anthony and Palma Juliano Alberico. She had worked at Fisher Brothers, PA Meyers and retired from JC Penny Co. She was a founding member of Our Lady of Peace RC Church; where she was very active.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Vickey; a son, Bernard M. Daugherty; a brother, Michael Alberico and a sister, Angela Alberico. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bernard L. Daugherty of Erie; one daughter, Pamela Hawryliw and her husband David of North East; a daughter-in-law, Jeanne Daugherty of Erie; a son-in-law, Douglas Vickey of Casselberry, FL; one brother, James Alberico and his wife Nila of Erie and one sister, Virginia Herbert and her husband Donald of Waterford. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Jessica, Patrick, Bridget, Megan and Daniel and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there on Saturday at 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Peace RC Church, 2401 West 38th Street, at 10 am. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1128 State St., Ste 301, Erie, PA 16501.
