Virginia R. Goodyear Lombardozzi
Virginia R. Goodyear Lombardozzi, 88, of Erie, died Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Golden Living Center Western Reserve after a brief illness. She was born April 11, 1926 in Gladstone, New Mexico, a daughter of the late John F. and Mable Plumb Goodyear.
She was a graduate of Academy High School and a very creative person.
She had worked at Talon Zipper Company and Peek'n Peak Resort. She enjoyed cooking, reading and sports.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert A. Lombardozzi, a brother, Victor P. Goodyear and two sisters, Belle Miller and June Nicholson.
She is survived by two daughters, Marietta S. Bromley (Harold) of Wattsburg, PA and Carol L. McGrath (Roger) of Clymer, NY; one son, Daniel N. Lombardozzi (Teresa) of Clymer, NY and two sisters, Betty Yager of Gettysburg, PA and Jean Bindley of Toledo, OR. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Tuesday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. until the time of the funeral service there at 8:30 p.m.with Rev. Rick Maas officiating. Burial will be private in Wales Cemetery .
