Walter Miller

Walter "Craig" Miller, 89, formerly of Erie, PA, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2023, in Rockville, MD. He was born in Erie on September 22, 1933, to the late John Steele Miller and Doris Isabelle Rose.

As a young man, Craig worked at his parents' restaurant, Miller's, which was located at 26th and Peach St.. After graduating from Academy High School in 1951, he served in the US Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Alshain. Following his military service, Craig attended college on the VA bill and embarked on a successful career in sales. He specialized in providing the Federal Government with computers and IT services.

Throughout retirement, Craig cherished spending time with his family, solving crossword puzzles, and visiting with friends. His fun, sweet and kind nature left a lasting impact on those who knew him, and he will be greatly missed.

Craig is survived by his son, Thomas Craig Miller; daughter, Heather Miller Cox (Neal); granddaughter, Kendall Miller Cox; and brother, John Clinton Miller.

A private service and burial will be held at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery at the family's convenience. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., is handling arrangements
