William A. Vereb Sr

William A. Vereb, Sr., 60, of Erie, died Monday, April 4, 2016 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born November 20, 1955 in Erie, a son of Anthony "Jim" Vereb of Erie and the late Julia M. DiSabatino Vereb.

William had served in the United States Navy. He had worked as an electrician in the Erie area and he enjoyed cooking.

Besides his mother he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary J. Vereb.

Besides his father his is survived by one daughter, Shannon D. Gehling (Robert) of McKean, PA; one son, William A. Vereb, Jr. (Chastity) of Shawnee, OK; one brother, James A. Vereb (Tammy) of Erie; and one sister, Debra A. Holder (William) of Erie. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Christian, Joshua, Dominic and Bella, and two nieces.

No calling hours will be observed. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street is handling the arrangements.
