William B. "Billy" Valerio

William B. "Billy" Valerio, age 51, of Erie, died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Saint Vincent Health Center. He was born April 5, 1964 in Erie, a son of Guy A. Valerio and the late Charlene E. Teel Valerio.

He was a manager of Valerio's Restaurant and a member of Christ United Methodist Church.

Billy enjoyed being around family and friends and always made people laugh with his sense of humor.

He was a diehard Redskins fan from when he was a little boy. He loved to play chess with the chess board his grandfather Teel made for him. He also loved to make homemade raviolis that were excellent.

Besides his father Gary A. Valerio of Erie, he is survived by his daughter, Rocklynn Valerio of Maryland and his son, Dakota Valerio; two brothers, Anthony J. and Michael A. Valerio (Jennifer); and one sister, Michelle A. Valerio (Joseph Pontoriero); mother of his children, Sharon Valerio; good friend, Karen Lewis all of Erie; and beloved German Shepard, Nevaeh.

He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service there at 7:30 p.m.

Private burial will be in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Humane Society of NW PA, 2407 Zimmerly Rd., Erie, PA 16506.
