William "Bill" F. Julius Jr.
William "Bill" F. Julius, Jr., age 95, of Erie, died peacefully, Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at the Golden Living Center on Zuck Road. He was born September 23, 1914 in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of the late William F. and Rose Kirsch, Julius, Sr. He had lived in Erie most of his life.
It is difficult to sum up a loved one's life in this small space in time. He was a devoted husband of the late Frances Thelma Phillips Julius, who passed away April 3, 2005. They were married at St. John's Catholic Church and were together for almost 65 years. That in this day and time is a demonstration of the love and devotion that they possessed for one another. He was a very loving and devoted father, son, brother, brother-in-law, grandfather "Bup", great-grandfather and great great-grandfather. He was one to never complain even though he was ravaged with cancer towards the end of his beautiful and precious life. He was always strong and strong-hearted, but had a heart of gold and compassion for everyone he met. He always greeted his loved ones and friends with a death grip of a hand shake to ensure his vitality and passion for life. He will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends that had the pleasure of knowing him. As a loving father he was always there for his children and thought the world of them along with all the other family member's lives that he touched.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving daughter, who died in his arms at 7 years of age, Alice Theresa Julius, and loving son, Sgt. William F. Julius III, who was killed in Vietnam on May 17, 1968, and brothers and sisters, Norbert Julius, Alice Teresa Julius, Neil Julius, Adrian Julius, Roberta Myers, and Sylvia Black.
