William J. Leamy

William J. Leamy, age 66, of Erie, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at his home after an extended illness.

He was born March 18, 1946 in Erie, a son of the late John H. and Geraldine Blair Leamy. He worked as a policeman for the City of Erie for 31 years, retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and an avid sports fan.

He is survived by his daughter, Angela M. Leamy (Garret A. Tadda); one sister, Sally A. Leamy; dear friend, Marsha A. Cacchione; grandson, Blake W. Erven; mother-in-law, Antoinette Cacchione all of Erie and two brothers-in-law, David A. Cacchione of KY and Sam. L. Cacchione and wife Linda of OH.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Service there on Tuesday at 10 a.m. The Retired Erie Police Association will meet at the Funeral Home on Monday at 4 p.m. for a service.

Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society, 2115 W 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505.
